HEalth Walk

  1. Walk can be done clockwise or anticlockwise. If anticlockwise (i.e. heading first along Sewell Cutting) then there is a steep uphill on the return. If going across the field first, there is a steep downhill, which also has to be tackled with care.
  2. Field will be muddy in winter or after rain. Alternatives include following road along Brewers Hill, follow the path across Weatherby and turning right onto Green Lane.
  3. Alternative route 1 via here
  4. Alternative route 2 via Hillcroft. Turn right here and follow through houses and then the edge of the field.
  5. If following alternative route 1 or 2 - nice stopping point with views of downs and bench.
  6. Options: can just loop back here for a short walk or head along path through woodlands (where you can find an old platform and lime kilns) or up the grassy hill for an added loop.
  7. Path through woods can be slippy especially after leaf fall in autumn.
  8. Old drovers path becomes slippy. Churned up quite badly. Avoid if wet. Can use grassy bits, which are more stable.
  9. Steep hill
