We're very pleased to report that we broke through the 1 million 'absolute unique visitors' mark last year – hitting 1,018,504 (up from 581,060 in 2009).
According to Google Analytics (the traffic tracking software we use), absolute unique visitors represent “the number of unduplicated (counted only once) visitors to your website over the course of a specified time period”. They are determined using cookies.
There's a lot of debate around about why Google Analytics ain't that good, and how it over- or under-estimates the real stats. But it's as good as we've got, and 1 million has a nice ring to it!
Here's to a busy 2011.
