Mencap Walk with me - Birmingham
Munrow sports centre track on the Birmingham University campus
This year, Mencap is hosting a series of sponsored Walk with me events across the country. Our Birmingham event will take place at the Munrow sports centre track on the Birmingham University campus from 2m to 4pm.
Whether you decide to challenge yourself to 100 metres or 5 km, and decide to run, go three-legged with your friends, walk or push a buggy – the choice is yours! Get your college, workplace, family or local pub involved, put up posters, and challenge your colleagues and friends to walk with you.
Prizes will also be awarded on the day for the best dressed walkers. So why not celebrate ‘International talk like a pirate' day, don your breeches, motley cap or bandana and come along in fancy dress?
