Blog
From the blog
Welcome to our new blog!
Only about 2 years late – but better late than never.
We realise that the site has probably seemed a bit impersonal to some people. A walking route planner with some very sporadically changing news items…and new cities appearing on the left hand menu every so often.
And that’s about it.
So with this blog we aim to open things up a little, tell you about some of our plans for the future, and let the great walkit.com community share your views (with us and each other) about the site and all things walking.
Our most exciting current development is a major overhaul of the site – both a new design and some new bells and whistles. We’ll keep you posted about that.
It would be great if you could help feed into that redesign process. What do you love about the site, what drives you up the wall and where are we missing a trick?
It’s not as though we’re pushed for ideas – it’s normally an issue of time and resource.
So we can’t promise to make everything you say happen, but we’ll certainly add it to the ‘to do’ list (and then hopefully the ‘done’ list).
Thanks – and here’s hoping we get some great autumnal walking weather.
Jamie and Martin, Terry, Adam, Lindsay and Imogen

A Walkit blog – at last!
Suggest you link to some walking-based or sustainability blogs here as reciprocality will help build support
Also wonder who Martin, Terry, Lindsay and Imogen are (I could possibly guess some of them…) Will they appear on “Who's behind walkit.com?”?
